Judge Paul Adam Engelmayer works at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). He was born in New York City on April 12, 1961, and has had a successful law career with important achievements in both public service and private practice.

Judge Engelmayer was chosen by President Barack Obama and approved by the Senate on July 26, 2011. He officially took office the following day.
